Pri-Med West Postponed Until September

Pri-Med West, originally scheduled for May 6−9, 2020, is postponed until September 2−5, 2020, in Anaheim, CA. The conference will remain at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Due to the magnitude of the unanticipated public health and safety issues posed by the rapidly escalating COVID-19 outbreaks and contagion, it would be an unacceptable risk to our community of supporters and healthcare professionals to bring thousands of people together in early May.

The health, safety, and well-being of our community, exhibitors, faculty, and staff, are our top priority. With an ever-increasing number of primary care professionals on the front lines of preparing and reacting to the COVID-19 outbreak, postponement of Pri-Med West became unavoidable. We hope that rescheduling will ensure that our community is able to do what they do best—help and heal.

Our postponement decision was also driven by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) March 15 announcement that mass gatherings of more than 50 people (more than 10 people if there are higher risk populations in the attendee community) should be postponed or cancelled across the country. Follow this link for the latest CDC COVID-19 Update on mass gatherings: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/large-events/mass-gatherings-ready-for-covid-19.html

In the coming weeks and months, Pri-Med will continue to monitor the situation closely and consult with our Clinical Advisory Board, the global teams of our parent company, and healthcare organizations including the Centers for Disease Protection and Control (CDC) for any new or heightened risks. We will continue to apply evidence-based decision-making to ensure the continued safety of the healthcare community planning to assemble September 2−5, 2020, in Anaheim for Pri-Med West.
