Pri-Med West, returning to Anaheim, California, for its 25th year, will once again feature world-renowned, expert faculty to deliver the latest clinical pearls and updated guidelines to the healthcare community. Pri-Med’s primary care CME/CE speakers include practicing clinicians from leading medical institutions across the country, including the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

Featured faculty members include distinguished members of Los Angeles Magazine‘s 2019 Top Doctors list, Course Chair Martin A. Quan, MD; Patrick T. Dowling, MD, MPH; Matthew Freeby, MD; Christopher C. Giza, MD; Robert E. Reiter, MD, MBA; and Karol E. Watson, MD, PhD.

In addition, Pri-Med West will feature three inspiring Keynote Addresses. Siddhartha Mukherjee, MD, will deliver the opening Keynote Address on Thursday, September 3, 2020. Dr. Mukherjee is a pioneering physician, oncologist, and author who has redefined our public discourse on human health, medicine and science. A profoundly influential voice in the scientific community, he is best known for his books, The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer, which earned him the 2011 Pulitzer Prize, and The Gene: An Intimate History which won international awards and was recognized by The Washington Post and The New York Times as one of the most influential books of 2016.

Frank J. Domino, MD, and Sanjiv Chopra, MD, MACP, will also serve as keynote speakers. Drs. Domino and Chopra will address thousands of primary care clinicians on Friday, September 4, 2020, with their session, 25 Years of Medicine: A Look at the Past, Present, and the Future. In celebration of the conference’s 25th anniversary, this Keynote Address will examine the past quarter-century in medicine, reflecting upon how common clinical conditions have evolved in the past 25 years, considering predictions of what will change in the next 25 years, and exploring how our continuous learning and networking are crucial to the health of our communities.

Claire Panosian Dunavan, MD, DTM&H, will take the stage on the final day of the conference, Saturday, September 5, to deliver her Keynote Address, Eat, Drink, Pray: Foodborne Infections Old and New. Dr. Dunvavan is a long-time UCLA specialist in infectious diseases and tropical medicine with a second career in print and broadcast journalism. She has worked extensively overseas and previously served as President of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
