The faculty will demonstrate how to perform a complete examination of the elbow and wrist. During the demonstration, the faculty will point out important anatomical landmarks that facilitate appropriate diagnosis as well as common physical findings present in both acute and chronic injury. You will also practice using this information to explore diagnostic pathways for reaching the correct diagnosis efficiently.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the surface and functional anatomy of the elbow and wrist
  • Recognize critical physical examination findings associated with a specific injury
  • Integrate history and physical examination findings to develop an appropriate differential diagnosis
