The Surgeon General has described the use of electronic cigarettes and vaping devices as epidemic. There is a significant divide in public health on the value of electronic cigarettes and vaping devices, with some seeing value for harm reduction or tobacco cessation while others see harms highlighted by the recent outbreak of electronic cigarette and vaping associated lung injury (EVALI). This panel will discuss these issues as well as current approaches for electronic cigarette and vaping prevention and cessation assistance.
