In this talk focused on type 2 diabetes, the faculty will discuss goals of treatment as it relates to microvascular and macrovascular risk reduction and explain why certain medications are optimal for specific populations. You will learn the risks and benefits of each class of medications and gain valuable takeaways from data about the cardiovascular and renal protective properties of these agents.
